This Privacy Policy explains how the Rize app ("Rize", "the app", "we", "us") handles information when you use it. Rize is provided by Efe Aksoy ("the developer"). By using Rize, you agree to the practices described here.
Rize uses Sign in with Apple to create your account, and stores your data in your own private iCloud so it can sync across your devices. We do not run our own servers that hold your data, we do not sell or share your information, we show no ads, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
To use Rize, you sign in with Apple. When you do, Apple provides us with a unique identifier for your account and, if you choose to share them, your name and email address. We use your name to personalize the app (for example, to greet you) and the identifier to keep you signed in. If you choose Apple's "Hide My Email" feature, we only ever see Apple's private relay address. We do not use this information for advertising or tracking.
The alarms, streaks, profile details (such as your name and any sleep schedule you enter), and preferences you create are stored on your device and synced through Apple's iCloud (CloudKit) to your own private iCloud account. This lets your data appear on your other devices that are signed in to the same Apple ID. This data is stored in your personal iCloud space — it is governed by Apple's iCloud terms and is not accessible to the developer. If you do not use iCloud, the app still works and your data stays on your device.
We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, health data, or analytics about how you use the app. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking SDKs, and we do not build an advertising profile of you.
Rize offers an optional paid subscription ("Rize Pro"). All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store using your Apple ID. The developer never receives or stores your payment card details. Apple handles billing, renewals, and refunds in accordance with Apple's own terms and privacy policy.
Rize requests permission to schedule alarms on your device (via Apple's AlarmKit). This permission is used solely to ring alarms you have set. It does not grant the developer any access to your data.
You can delete your account at any time from within the app (Settings → Account → Delete Account). Deleting your account permanently removes your data from the app and from your iCloud storage, signs you out, and cannot be undone. Note that deleting your account does not cancel any active subscription — subscriptions are managed by Apple in your App Store account settings.
Your data remains in your iCloud and on your device for as long as you use the app, until you delete individual items, delete your account, or remove the app. Because the data lives in your own iCloud, you remain in control of it.
Rize is not directed at children under the age required for consent in their country, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Depending on where you live (for example under the EU/Swiss GDPR or Turkey's KVKK), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Because your data is stored in your own iCloud and can be deleted in-app at any time, you can exercise these rights directly. For any questions, contact us using the details below.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes take effect means you accept the revised policy.
